Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat is an Indian historical drama show airing on Colors TV. The serial is created and written by author and screenwriter Ashok Banker. The historical serial is produced by Contiloe Entertainment, and directed by Prasad Gavandi. It stars Manoj Joshi, Pallavi Subhash, Prinal Oberoi, Siddharth Nigam and Sameer Dharmadhikari.The show is based on the life of Indian Emperor of Maurya Dynasty. Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani (English: The Story of a Brave Woman... The Queen of Jhansi) is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010, the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode aired on 19 June 2011.


Veer Shivaji was an Indian historical drama series that aired on Colors TV. The show focuses on the life of Shivaji, the 17th century founder of the Maratha Kingdom.It premiered on September 2, 2011 and was produced by Contiloe Telefilms, who had earlier created the historical drama Jhansi Ki Rani on Zee TV. Due to the instant success and popularity and with TRP of more than 2.60 the show timing were extended to five days a week (Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm) from 3 October 2011.After the introduction of adult Shivaji the drama's target rating points began to dip drastically.


Meera - Krishna Se Laagi Aisi Lagan Ek Rajkuvri Bani Jogan is an Indian historical drama television series written by Vipul Mehta, Shikha Diwan and Afiya. It is based on the life of Meera Bai, a 15th-century Hindu mystic and poet whose lyrical songs of devotion to the god Krishna are widely popular in northern India.
